As we know, USB3 copper cable can as long as 5 meters. If you'd use a USB3 cable longger than 5 meters, you'd better use an USB3 AOC(active optical cable) instead.

This USB3.0 active optical cable (AOC) can be used for extending the cable. It can be as long as 30 meters and can be used in machine vision, industrial printing, digital signage, conference systems, and industrial cameras/computers/U disks/conferences. The interconnection between cameras and other products brings convenient applications for video image collection, data transmission, and mobile office.
The cable material is made of optical fiber, the cable outer diameter is small, the weight is light, the space is small, and it
has superior bending performance and good. Withstand side pressure performance, facilitate wiring construction and save cost. The
transmitting end and the receiving end are shielded by a zinc alloy shell to provide maximum strength and durability.

Product Usage

One end of the USB3 AOC connects the computer with its USB3 type A connector, the other USB3 AOC female connector connects a traditional copper USB3 type A to Micro-B cable to its type A male end. The USB3 traditional copper cable connects to the industrial camera with its Micro-B end.

The cable can be installed on a drag chain, the bending radius should no less than 10 times of the cable OD. For more install tips, please refer your drag chain install guide.
